Time and Space and All That Fancy Shit [Private]

1/3 Beginner > Adept

For the past few days, Fufu had been writing notes on some jutsu that she found lore on in her clan's jutsu libraries in a scroll that she carried with her.  She found herself plopped down on the ground in the middle of the training grounds this early morning before anyone else had arrived, reading the instructions for the first jutsu she was going to practice. It was simply called Wormhole Mirror.

"Alright, sounds simple enough..." she muttered.  Step 1 was to simply thrust her hands forward, and she did so.  But then... what?  How was she supposed to create a wormhole?  As confused as she was, she attempted it anyway, and was quite pleasantly surprised by how within her reach the concept was.  It actually wasn't long before Fufu was juggling multiple Kunai in the air with the ability, and she was glad to add it to her arsenal so that she wouldn't be overwhelmed by shuriken and kunai anymore.

2/3 Beginner -> Adept

Alright, next up: Reality Warping Pressure Bomb. "Well, the name is fancy enough..." thought Fufu before she moved on with practicing its individual motions. She extended her hands in front of her, with her shoulders forward. Next, she touched each of her fingers together to their opposite on the other hand, forming a triangle with her thumbs forming the base and the rest of her fingers forming a the legs to the triangle. At first, she simply practiced molding chakra into the center of this triangle, because the idea of expanding reality inside her hands sounded dangerous and she wanted to make sure she could actually control chakra in that area and that way first. However, she was surprised at just how easily this was done. She concentrated chakra between her hands until it was visible and she was satisfied.

Next, she stretched, flexed her fingers and popped her knuckles, and made the unique hand seal again. Following the instructions on the scroll that she'd scribbled down the night before, she gathered chakra between her hands again, only this time, it was an ominous shade of black rather than blue as was normal for her. Then, for some reason, it detonated, sending her flying backward. Luckily for her, she hadn't gathered all her power quite yet, and was simply knocked back instead of blown apart. Mentally shaking herself, she stood, and attempted the jutsu again, this time managing to fire it outward first. And again. And she did it enough times in a row that she considered the jutsu sufficiently learned. "Interesting... as complex as these are, they really aren't that difficult to learn."

3/3 Beginner -> Adept

The final in this beginner tier of Space-Time Ninjutsu was an ability called Piercing Light Assassination, and it was supposed to make someone capable of becoming invisible. It'd be a great asset at her disposal for her ANBU Selection exam, and she made a point to try to learn it, even if it wasn't quite as exciting as the other abilities listed. Honestly, the way it worked confused her more than most of the other jutsu she had listed, even if it was supposedly one of the easier ones to learn. She was supposed to, somehow, create a film of chakra atop her skin that created a portal for light, essentially allowing it to pass through her completely.

"Well... I may as well try it." And she did. She gathered chakra upon the surface of her skin, and it tingled as it gathered, a rather great sensation in all honesty. The film of chakra first turned black, as was characteristic of her Jikukan Techniques apparently, but she couldn't get light to pass through. Confused, she looked at her scroll in an attempt to find an explanation, and one of the tips was to express her chakra by bringing it inward rather than pushing it out like other jutsu. She wasn't quite sure what that mean, but she tried it anyway and, sure enough, managed to allow the light to passed through her body. She looked down at her arms to see that... well, to her eyes, it wasn't there. "Cool..." she thought.

Adept -> Expert 1/5

Fufu sighed. Obviously, she was making a lot of progress today, and she was happy for it. Still, she wasn't quite able to shake the feeling that she could be training her Hachimon and increasing her maximum power, rather than some Ninjutsu and increasing what she can do in her base forms, or just using her Dojutsu. That said, there was always tomorrow to train those things. The Hachimon were quite scary to here, as she reasoned that if she was resorting to using them, it meant she was in quite a dangerous situation. She wondered briefly about the legends of the Mangekyo Sharingan, and wondered if it'd be possible for her to learn that ability, though she didn't exactly understand the nature behind it, and doubted she was powerful enough yet to handle it.

Adept -> Expert 2/5

Interdimensional Shift was the next ability that Fufu was to learn, and it seemed quite interesting. It'd allow her to do some pretty gimmicky stuff to augment her Taijutsu, at which she was a specialist. Fufu would follow the instructions and attempt to, quite simply move her presence. It was an odd concept in that she did not pass through the space between where she started and where she ended, and instead just sorta... appeared there. Still, it wasn't too terribly hard for her to figure it out. Fufu lined up to one of the training dummies in the training range, threw a punch at it, then appeared on the opposite side of it to do so again. In fact, it was more difficult to keep her balance after teleporting this short distance than it was to actually teleport.

Adept -> Expert 3/5

Fufu panted slightly, as teleporting so rapidly actually sort of drained her quite a bit, and she had to stop for a moment and wipe her sweat away as she glanced at the scroll once again. Reality Warping Cluster Bomb was up next, and honestly, it was exponentially easier for her to figure out as compared to the other abilities she'd learned today. All she did was simultaneously form four Reality Warping Pressure Bombs, the jutsu she'd learned earlier, and fire them simultaneously. She actually enjoyed this jutsu quite a bit, as each explosion was more powerful than with the original jutsu, and there were four of them, allowing her to either fire them all at the same place and stack this damage on top of itself, or spread them out for some nice area of effect damage.

Adept -> Expert 4/5

The next ability Fufu was to learn was Rift Walking, and it was by far the most convoluted concept she'd dealt with yet today. She was supposed to, somehow, shorten reality ahead of her, and allow herself to pass through it more quickly. When she attempted it, it made her a bit queasy, and she had to stop quite a few times before giving it a legitimate attempt. When she finally did, it was as if she walked a few feet and traveled half a mile, creating a rather odd sensation, as if it were something one would see in a children's cartoon. She attempted it many more times, getting used to the way that it warped space around her until it no longer made her sick, and when she was finished, she simply plopped on the ground, exhausted. She'd been training all day, and wondered if she'd made more progress today than she ever had in any other individual day.

Adept -> Expert 5/5

It had been a long day, and Fufu had used almost all of her chakra. The walk home was grueling, but satisfying, and inwardly, Fufu thanked whatever gods that watched over her that she had no missions to do today. Fufu trudged up the stairs to see Sera playing happily in her crib with some toys that, for her young few month-old age, she shouldn't be able to grasp quite yet. Still, happily she played, and when Fufu laid in her bed, too exhausted to shower, she smiled, fading off into nothingness for a some dreamless sleep, as if her brain understood as well as she did that she was not up to processing anything while she slept. Soon, it would be time for her ANBU tryouts, and with her progress today, she felt quite ready. Though, then again, it couldn't hurt for her to start learning some Genjutsu...
