Our First High-Ranked Mission!! [TEAM 7]

Mission:

Team Seven had gathered by the front gate, waiting on their Sensei to arrive so they could leave. It had taken them 152 D-ranks and a lot of begging and countless hours of teamwork exercises and a LOT OF BEGGING, to convince their sensei to allow them to take on a higher ranked mission, so they were assigned a C-ranked escort mission to escort a village elder to Otogakure and then back once his business was complete. Ryo and Kana were talking idly to the side while Kosuke sat watching the roads for their sensei to arrive with the client. He was ready to get this mission underway, he was restless and totally ready to actually do something that real ninjas do, as opposed to lame household chores. The team training they had done was actually pretty great, they had grown individually as well as a unit, so this mission would certainly be an excellent test to how they could preform in REAL missions.

It had been a few months since they were formed, so the three had managed to get to know each other and were actually fast friends. Kosuke was usually the quiet one who kept to himself, but would interject when needed or if he had something to say. Kana was the loud mouth who could chat the ear off a tree, and trees don't even have ears! While Ryo was level headed and polite enough that he would chat with Kana as often as she liked. Their team dynamic generally led to Kosuke being their Ninjutsu Specialist and Ryo handling the heavy hitting, while Kana was quick in and out. It was obvious though that she was the farthest behind her two teammates, having the biggest handicap.

Karasu had an unreadable expression on his face as he walked through the gates of the Village, accompanied by an elderly man. This was Furin, a member of Hoshigakure's Council of Elders who came to negotiate with Otogakure's own Council. The mission was ranked C due to the inherent danger that came with politicians, but wasn't higher ranked due to the sheer boredom that most of these missions incurred. Almost nothing happened on escort missions, and that was the only reason Karasu was willing to take the brats on one.

Well, that and the fact that the Otokage was the one that had put in the request to Hoshigakure.

Stopping in front of his team, he gave them all a once-over. They had certainly improved, although their begging tactics could definitely be worked on. Cracking a smirk, the Uchiha would begin introduction. "Brats, this is Elder Furin of Hoshigakure. Furin, these are the brats that make up Team Seven. Ryo Jugo, Kana Monsuta, and Kosuke Uchiha."

Shifting slightly, and looking down the path towards the Village Hidden in Sound, the Jounin frowned slightly before briefing the team. "So, here's how things are going to work. We need to escort Furin-dono to Otogakure, where he'll speak with their Council. It'll probably take a couple of days once we're there, so we'll have a bit of down time for exploration. I might even be able to pull a few strings and introduce you to the Otokage. Once things are done on the political side of things, we'll escort Furin-dono home. If we run into any trouble on the road, you'll listen to my orders without question. If I say run, you run. If I say fight, you fight. Understood?"

Once he had gotten an affirmative, Karasu would run a hand through his hair, and mutter underneath his breath. "I have a bad feeling about this..."

Once Karasu arrived with their client, Kosuke couldn't help but notice how the man looked at him in an odd manner when he was introduced by name, the man also seemed to be wary of Kana, though the girl seemingly had no idea as she was chatting the man up happily. Once they started on the road, Karasu had taken the lead, as none of them had ever been out of the village, Kana and Ryo flanked both sides of the client while Kosuke brought up the rear. It was a formation they had practiced dozens of times before now, and he was glad that they were finally putting it into practice. The three genin were rather quiet as they walked, on edge one might say. "You kids seem a little young to be ninja, 'specially you, boy. You know, you are named after our First Hokage, I expect great things from you!" The man spoke in a way that was somehow deadly serious but also playful, it was... an odd combination. Kosuke couldn't help the scowl that came across his face at being compared to THAT man. The man would then turn back to the front, "Karasu Uchiha, you were one of the most famous ninja back in my day. I would have thought you'd retired, or died by now?" IT was an odd comment, but one that was understood by any ninja, you either quit while you were ahead or you died. There was no in between. Their walk continued rather well for the first several miles before suddenly, a massive fireball came forth to strike where Karasu was. Ryo had grabbed the client and leapt back to get out of the way, and the three were surrounding the man in a defensive formation now. They didn't know if Karasu had made it, they assumed he did, but one could never be sure. Two men dressed in black stood several meters ahead of them now, hunched over, ready to attack.

Karasu hid the grimace that crossed his face from the other man who, by all means, was actually younger than the Jounin himself. The tension in his shoulders would definitely be an indicator of his discomfort to anyone who spent time around him, like his team, but Furin didn't seem to notice. Several miles passed them by before the Uchiha's eyes widened suddenly and a massive fireball headed in their direction. Idly noticing that Ryo had gotten the client out of the way, Karasu drew his katana in an instant and slashed at the assault, the flames seemingly being absorbed by the black metal of Keikai.

Taking a few steps back to join the team, the Jounin Sensei sighed and sheathed his sword. Getting into a balanced stance in front of the Village Elder. "Well, now's as good a time as any, I guess. Those two are Kinbaku and Rinbaku, a pair of C-Ranked Missing-nin. They're twins, so it'd be a bit hard to tell the difference between them, but Kinbaku is capable of Fire, Earth, and Lightning Release Jutsu, while Rinbaku uses Water and Wind. I've also heard that they're fond of Genjutsu. I'll protect the client, while you three take them out. Work together. I'll step in if I have to, but anyone who makes me do so gets a solid week of specialized training. I'm thinking it'll be...reaction speed training."

Everyone except Furin would understand what Karasu meant by training reaction speed. The last time the three had done so, they had to spend twenty-four hours in a dilapidated training ground that Karasu lovingly called the "Forest of Death", while their sensei attacked them randomly and set traps. It had been hellish with the three of them working together,so for only one of them to have to endure a WEEK of it...?

It'd almost be better for the Missing-nin to kill them.

They started in a manner that only made sense for them, Kosuke drew their attention with a ninjutsu, Ryo dropped into Sage Mode and aided him, Kana waited for an opening. He formed the seals and launched a fireball at them that was enhanced with a senjutsu empowered wind gust. The two ninja were quick to react, putting up an earth wall, that was quickly destroyed by the fireball. But when the smoke cleared, there were three black clad ninja attacking all at once, Kosuke was caught by two clones, while each of his teammates suffered a similar battle. The two that came for him were slightly faster than he was, but he used a low range version of his Volcanic Ash distortion jutsu, covering only himself and his immediate area of around ten meters with the thick black smoke. He managed to kill one of the clones using a jutsu, but the other clone managed to stab him in the chest, just missing his heart and vitals, with a kunai. As he stumbled from the smoke and fell to his knees, the second shinobi came from the smoke, moving to strike him. It was in that moment that Kosuke's world changed, it became both severely clear and open. His right eye became pure white and pale in color while the pupil almost vanished, as for his left eye, the iris became blood red with a single black tomoe swirling around his pupil. He could see everything around him in a massive radius. He managed to pull the Kunai from his chest, and then using it to stab the clone in the throat. Killing off both his clones.

Ryo had it much easier, when they attacked him, he simply blurred out of existence and killed them both with his superior speed and strength. Kana had a bit of a harder time, but with her skills with her blades and the powerful swords that Karasu had given her, she managed to dispatch of them rather quickly. With the clones and incidentally originals now all dead, the team was able to take stock of their casualties. Kosuke had collapsed, his eyes deactivating, due to blood loss. It would take quick action from a medic to keep him from passing out completely.

Karasu's eyes flicked across the battlefield easily as he tracked the movements of his team. His adrenaline spiked, however, as he saw Kosuke get stabbed in the chest by one of the twins' clones. The kid managed to take out his opponent rather quickly after that, even as the other two finished up the fight. He was at his injured student's side in an instant, a hand glowing green and placed on his chest above the wound without another thought. "Jeez, brat. You had me worried there for a second. Thankfully, the kunai didn't hit anything important."

Once the younger of the two Uchiha was patched up and good as new, the Jounin turned to Kana, who kept glancing back at the two bodies on the ground, and Ryo, who looked to be uncomfortable in his own skin. "Kana...Remember this. Don't ever let it get easy. Trust me when I say that it's horrifying to have forgotten your first. You did the right thing, though. Both of you. Now, let's get moving. We should be able to get there by dark if we hustle."

Kana kept glancing to the bodies. It was her first kill, she had managed to kill the originals, so it was more real for her. Their blood had seeped down and was on her hands now, she glanced between her blood soaked hands and their bodies, something inside of her awakening. A hunger that she couldn't describe as she had never felt it before. She nodded to her sensei absentmindedly while walking towards the bodies. She fell to her knees before leaning over and beginning to devour them raw. Her eyes had glazed over, her sclera being black and her normally green eyes appearing red, the veins in her eyes showing as red too. Kosuke averted his eyes and Ryo looked like he wanted to step in but didn't. Provided no one else interfered, she would finish within minutes, both bodies being gone nothing left but a few bones, blood and two ripped up leather body suits. She looked dazed, but uncharacteristically quiet as she wiped the blood from her mouth, leaving a rather horrifying smear.

It was then that Kosuke felt something and channeled chakra to his eyes, The world changing back to how it was, he could see that her chakra reserves, which were different from that of anyone else present aside from maybe Ryo, were rapidly growing now, it was certainly interesting. Regardless he looked to his sensei, one eye white and the other red, "Karasu-Sensei, I think I unlocked my Sharingan!" It was the most excited he had ever sounded in front of any of them, probably the most excited he had sounded in his entire life, as he was officially one step closer to his ambition...

Furin looked almost offended by the actions that Kana had begun to take, and was going to step in before Karasu caught him by the shoulder and gave him a look that said to turn away. The Uchiha, on the other hand, refused to, stepping forward once his student had finished her meal and kneeling in front of her, pulling a handkerchief out of a pocket and wiping the smear from her face, speaking softly to show that he wasn't upset with her. "I know you must've been hungry, but I think it'd be best if we kept this to ourselves, yeah? Don't worry. It's okay."

Giving her the handkerchief and standing up, the Jounin turned around and watched as Kosuke used his Dojutsu, getting excited. Smiling at him, the elder of the two Uchiha would poke him on the forehead with the index and middle fingers on his right hand. "So it would seem, kid. While the Byakugan in your right eye brings up a few questions, I think we can talk about it later. I'll have to think up a few training exercises for your eyes, too."

Motioning for everyone to follow, he'd start down the path once more. "Listen, everyone. I'm not getting any younger, and the sooner we get to Otogakure, the sooner we can get dinner. Let's go!"

"I'm actually pretty full, Sensei!" Came the cheery reply of Kana who was back into her normal bubbly self. The other Genin and client would simply get back to formation and started moving again. They were all back into their normal positions, Kosuke however having his Dojutsu active, he was able to see just over seven miles in all directions. He had heard that there was a blind spot, but it would seem that the Sharingan managed to cover up that weakness. Either way, it took them several more hours to reach their destination, and they managed to make it without any further pit falls, aside from having to stop several times for their client to rest, as Ryo was carrying him. Yes, they weren't going to force an old man to walk that distance without assistance. As soon as they arrived, they were met by two Chuunin of Oto, one took the three Genin to their hotel and the other escorted Karasu and Furin to meet with the Otokage, Karasu had been given specific invitation to tour the Otokage Mansion, and Furin was his plus one, so to speak.

If only he wasn't stuck with the old man, Karasu mused, as they wandered the halls of the Otokage Mansion, being shown around by Koharu herself, who seemed to have a bit more sway in her walk than normal. Did she have eyes in the back of her head?

It was as if she KNEW that Karasu's eyes were glued to her ass!

It was around eight in the evening when they arrived back at the entrance, the Chuunin who had escorted them there waiting patiently to take them to the hotel. As the two began to wander down the steps towards him, the Uchiha heard a teasing voice echo from behind him. "Karasu-san, do you mind staying for tea? I'd like to...speak...to you about something in private."

A smirk stretched across Karasu's face as he turned to meet the violet eyes of the Otokage. "I think I could go for some tea..."

[THE NEXT MORNING]

Karasu stood in the lobby of the hotel, waiting for his students to arrive. The old man was already off doing his thing with the Otogakure Council of Elders, after having chewed out the Uchiha thoroughly for "inappropriate behavior" and such. Rubbing a bruise in the crook of his neck, Karasu chuckled under his breath.

The tea was delicious.

Kosuke walked into the lobby to see that Ryo and Kana had just arrived as well. They saw their sensei waiting for him and knew better than to keep the man waiting. Kosuke was still thinking of the developments of their trip there. Kana was some form of Cannibal, and he had unlocked a bloodline that was unheard of in any Uchiha. There were many things that deserved questions and many answers he felt he could only really obtain from the doctor who created him. He would need to hunt that man down at some point as well. But presently, he would need to see what his sensei would offer them in the means of training or what to do while they wait for the geezer to finish his business in the village. “Good morning, SENSEIIIIII!” Kana was the one who broke the silence. Ryo offered a wave and Kosuke did as he always did, a simple stare with the slightest incline of his head. He wasn’t quite as exuberant as his other teammates but he made up for it in his strength and the tactical nature of his mind.

Chuckling at Kana's cheerful greeting, Karasu would wave to his students, waiting for them to get closer before he began speaking. "So, slight change of plans with the mission. I happened to hear from a very reliable source that the Otogakure Council has already gone over all of Furin's proposals, and that they've already agreed to them. Apparently, the meeting will end around noon, and the second half of our mission will begin, escorting him home. Given the current time...Well, we have a bit of time to wander around, but we might as well make out way towards the gates."

Walking out the door of the hotel, knowing his students were following like little ducklings, the Jounin attempted to point out a few landmarks as they wandered through the market. While they were there, Karasu picked up a few sticks of dango and looked over a few things before collecting his students once more, wandering back towards the gates.

By the time they made it there, it was noon, and Furin was waiting for them with an Oto-nin, grumbling about how he hadn't even gotten to argue any semantics. Once everyone had things in order, Karasu was about to step out of the Village before the Chuunin grabbed his shoulder, whispering something to him quickly, causing his face to become unreadable, his eyes filling with steel. Nodding to the young woman, he'd guide his students onto the road once more, his shoulders stiff and paying attention to the area around him.

It was obvious that he was on guard from whatever the Chuunin had told him.

The three genin swiftly followed after their sensei, all the way to the gates. They were fascinated by the monuments the man pointed out, such as the market place, the bell tower and many other musical themed attractions throughout the village as they walked. Once they arrived, Lord Furin was already there waiting for them with his escort. Kosuke seemed to be the only member of the team who paid attention to the chuunin speaking to their sensei, but he noticed the man went on guard afterwards, the moment they left the village. They walked for miles, until the village was far, far behind them. Kosuke had his Byakugan/Sharingan active and was scanning the area around them. He could see everything for seven miles in all directions, which was useful for making sure they didn't get snuck up on. Suddenly, something entered his radius and it was fast. There were actually two of them, moving faster than he had ever seen anything move. Even with his Sharingan and Byakugan he was having a hard time tracking them. He decided to speak up, "Sensei, There is something headed this way, fast. Two objects, Laced with a lot of chakra, I can't tell what they are because they are moving too fast. They will be on our position in approximately Five seconds." He knew they didn't have much time to do anything in preparation, but with his KKG activated, he was basically as prepared as he could get. Ryo activated his sage mode and Kana got into a defensive stance in front of their client. The speed and chakra he could see from these two things told him one thing, they were in trouble.

The moment that Kosuke spoke, the tension in Karasu's shoulders vanished, and he moved in front of his students deftly, holding his arm in front of them protectively before a man with long black hair wearing a re-breather blurred into existence, already halfway through a roundhouse to Karasu's head. The blow rocketed their sensei into the forest before the other man made his appearance. He had blue skin, gills, and a smile filled with shark's teeth as he spoke. "Well, now that he's out of the way...Hand over the old codger, brats, and nobody else has to die today."

At that, a low chuckle started coming from the forest, a chakra signature flaring into existence that would likely shock Kosuke. Stepping out of the forest, cracking his neck with a lazy smirk on his face and what appeared to be cracked and burnt coal surrounding his eyes as his body filled with nature energy, Karasu finished laughing, his smile remaining yet never reaching his face. Standing in front of his students and their charge "Kiraa Hoshigaki, former ANBU Commander of Otogakure, banished for war crimes and acts against the peace between Villages. I assume that the young man that kicked me is the Genin that you took under your wing and broke? Either way, I'm sure that you know that you've been labelled 'Kill on Sight'...I don't want my students to have to see this, so I'll give you one chance. Walk away."

To emphasize his suggestion, Karasu grabbed his katana's sheath with his left hand, thumbing the guard with a slight click to bring attention to the fact that he was a greater threat than both of the opponents combined, at this rate.

Kiraa arrived to find it just as his intelligence from within the village had reported it. Three Genin, a Jonin and the old man that they were to capture or kill, whichever was easier. He knew the Jonin of course, Karasu Uchiha, one of the last remaining heirs of the clan's original hierarchy. He knew that he, personally was not a match for the man, which is why he brought Baan along. While Baan probably wouldn't be able to kill the man, he would make for an appropriate distraction. They moved swiftly, just as planned, Baan already starting his attack on the Jonin and himself preparing to get rid of the kids, but it would seem that nothing would be that easy. "Baan, take care of him." This order was met with something of a muffled grunt/groan from the masked behemoth. Baan then proceeded to clap his hands together, releasing all eight gates at once, though if one were to notice, it did happen in succession. He was also simultaneously in a unique sage mode that focused on healing the body and rejuvenating the muscles, which allowed him to retain the eighth gate longer than anyone else on the planet, and allowed him to survive the effects. The now red glowing man would vanish in a burst of speed, to deliver a punch to the jonin's face, this time, much faster and much stronger.

Kosuke for his part kept his eyes trained on the fight in front of him, it wouldn't do to let either of these two ninja get close to their client, so he did the only thing he could think of. Forming some quick handseals, he would surround himself, his team and their client in lava. This allowed them a layer of protection, as no matter how strong this guy was, he couldn't just jump headfirst into lava. Either way, they remained on guard.

Karasu's eyes narrowed as the Hoshigaki male spoke, telling his tamed monster to take care of the Uchiha. Drawing his sword in a single deft motion, the Jounin Sensei braced himself as the former Genin clasped his hands together with a growl, preparing for whatever he was about to unleash. That is, until a gasp tore from his throat and his eyes widened, the chain hanging from the pommel of his katana jingling with the motion as the eldest Shinobi present began speaking. "The Blood Mist...It can't...Kosuke, Ryo, Kana. Take Furin, and run as far and as fast as you can. I'll buy you all as much time as I can, and catch up. The Eight Gates Formation isn't something any of you can fa-"

The interruption was caused by his opponent rushing forward with an absolutely devastating right straight, the air pressure alone enough to blow away miles of forest behind them. The only thing that saved Karasu's life was his instincts, hardened by countless battles.

As it stood, the attack blew away almost everything from his left shoulder to that hip, including most of the lung.

Falling backwards and hitting the ground even as Kosuke surrounded them with a ring of lava, Karasu began coughing up blood, his vision growing fuzzy. His ears were ringing, and he was almost unresponsive to the outside world, speaking to himself quietly. "Koharu....Kurama...Dad...Is this what it feels like to die? I don't like it. I'm scared. Dad, help me. I'm not ready. I can't...I can't face Kirei. I can't face Suzume...How could I? It's my fault they're dead...I'm so cold..."

Lifting his one remaining arm towards the sky, his vision flickered, showing the hands of a child reaching towards his father. He saw a young girl, smiling at him carefree. He saw his nephew, eyes shining like they used to whenever he'd learned something new. He felt tears run down his face, even as he grit his teeth. "No...No. NO!"

There was a snap, preceding a tower of flames erupting around Team Seven, curling around them protectively, almost singing with power. The next thing they would see was Karasu, panting and waering a short-sleeved haori made of what looked to be living flames. Black blood dripped down his face and filled his sclera as his Sharingan spun to life, flickering with an inner fire - literally. The flames themselves seemed to coalesce and form the missing portions of his body before retreating, showing healthy skin covered in ash and soot that was quickly discarded as he picked up his discarded katana. Glancing towards Kosuke, the Jounin would speak, his voice filled with a hidden layer of sadism, as if he kept his inner demons on a leash and had just let them out to play. "New plan. The three of you take down the Missing-nin Kiraa Hoshigaki if possible. If it isn't, escape and I'll handle him once I'm done. I'm leaving the decision up to you, nephew. This mission's ranking has officially been raised to A."

Looking back at Baan, Karasu's face became almost unhinged, a sadistic smile spreading across it. "Now...Let's play."

Kiraa Hoshigaki watched the proceedings with no small amount of glee, his smile only becoming deterred as the damn Uchiha seemed to drag himself out of Death's door. What the hell was he, anyway?! Turning to the kids as his pet monster and the demon dashed off a short distance to start their fight, the former ANBU drew his sword and giggled. "Well, you heard your dear old Sensei. Hiding in that lava won't save you forever. Come and get me!"

Sage Mode: Phoenix's Lament is incredibly powerful, and equally dangerous. The user's Chakra Stat is multiplied by x2 for each post that it is active, and all other stats are increased by SS-Rank Jutsu Strength while the normal Sensing ability that comes with Sage Mode remains untouched. The Sage also gains regeneration capable of healing any would that does not kill instantly for 500 Chakra each. This version of Sage Mode costs 1,000 Chakra to enter, and costs an additional 1,000 Chakra each post it remains active. In addition, this state has a hard maximum of 10 posts. Any further, and the user's own chakra reduces them to ash, unable to be revived even through the Edo Tensei.

As soon as the user deactivates Sage Mode, their stats are reduced by 90% for the next ten posts, during which time they cannot use Sage Mode. After recovery, this technique cannot be used for the rest of the thread.

Appearance: Red eyes that flicker with flames, with soot covering the exterior like eyeshadow, and a haori made of flames, with a burnt and blackened under suit covered in magma-like cracks.

This jutsu activates immediately upon use of the Eyes of Perdition.

Baan felt his fist connect and then move through the puny Uchiha. Fish man had told him that this man was strong and to use all his power, but he was starting to think fish man wrong. Well, that was what he had thought, until the puny Uchiha got back up, and looked like he was on fire. This, under different circumstances might have excited the behemoth, but not today. Normally, he relished an actual fight, but today was different, how? How was it different, you may ask? It was because he already hit the bastard, he SHOULD BE DEAD! This, instead of filling him with the joys of mortal combat, filled his heart and soul with pure, unadulterated, blinding rage. He let out a sound akin to a roar mixed with some slight gurgling and was off again, though this time, with much more fervor. He sent a punch forwards, bringing with it a column of pressurized air. He leapt to another spot, delivering another, in the opposite direction, and so on and so forth until five punches had been delivered. If the puny Uchiha survived this, he would simply break out his stronger attacks.

Kosuke and the team, for their part, knew that hiding was not a long term plan. They would need to come up with something quick. They decided to go with something a little unorthodox, but hopefully enough to work. Kosuke formed three clones, each using lava blending to exit the dome, then using Lava release blazeball three times, all combined together to form a massive ball of lava. The other's would be protected from the inside of the lava dome, so hopefully they wouldn't have to worry about becoming collateral damage. Should the lava from these jutsu contact the dome, it will only make the defense stronger.

As the monstrous being Karasu was up against roared his anger, he unleashed five punches, each one absolutely devastating the area around them, and yet the Uchiha seemed unphased. In truth, his near-death experience was causing his fire to burn far, far hotter than normal, enough that he was concerned it had shortened his time in Sage Mode. Letting out a heavy breath and sheathing his sword, the area around Karasu began to crack and splinter as a massive amount of pressure enveloped him, the visage of a divine warrior briefly forming behind him as he spoke a phrase that seemed to echo across the battlefield. "Rikudo Gorin - Kurikara Tenshou."

Moving almost lazily around each of the attacks, the Jounin would look Baan directly in the eye before manifesting what appeared to be a gourd in his left hand, gripping the opening as if it were a hilt and drawing something from it, allowing the gourd to fade away a moment later as the pulsing red chakra that made up the Totsuka Blade solidified into the form of a double-edged sword. Moving into a loose, balanced stance, Karasu motioned for the other man to give him everything.

The Uchiha would crush it with undeniable power.

Kiraa whistled as one of the kids decided to let loose an utterly massive ball of lava, sending it flying towards him. Forming a few hand seals, the Hoshigaki let loose the Great Waterfall Technique, cooling the ball of super-heated rock and flinging it back at the dome. Glancing up, the former ANBU's smirk would grow as he made a couple quick seals, his right hand sparking to life with lighting even as dark clouds had begun to cover up the sun. "Ironic, that your Sensei's own strength caused the death of his students, isn't it? Laugh about it in the next life."

With that, he swung his hand down, causing a massive bolt of lightning in the shape of a great beast lanced down from the sky, obliterating the clouds that were forming due to Karasu's transformation and being upon the Genin in an instant.

Sage Mode: Phoenix's Lament is incredibly powerful, and equally dangerous. The user's Chakra Stat is multiplied by x2 for each post that it is active, and all other stats are increased by SS-Rank Jutsu Strength while the normal Sensing ability that comes with Sage Mode remains untouched. The Sage also gains regeneration capable of healing any would that does not kill instantly for 500 Chakra each. This version of Sage Mode costs 1,000 Chakra to enter, and costs an additional 1,000 Chakra each post it remains active. In addition, this state has a hard maximum of 10 posts. Any further, and the user's own chakra reduces them to ash, unable to be revived even through the Edo Tensei.

As soon as the user deactivates Sage Mode, their stats are reduced by 90% for the next ten posts, during which time they cannot use Sage Mode. After recovery, this technique cannot be used for the rest of the thread.

Appearance: Red eyes that flicker with flames, with soot covering the exterior like eyeshadow, and a haori made of flames, with a burnt and blackened under suit covered in magma-like cracks.

This jutsu activates immediately upon use of the Eyes of Perdition.

After this technique ends, the user loses 80% of their total physical stats for a period equal to the amount of time spent in this state.

Baan had sweat on his brow, not from nerves, no, from the intense heat his opponent had started to put off. The man dodged his Sekizo like it was nothing, but he knew he had one more jutsu up his sleeves that could actually make a difference to the man. Settling back into a stance, he would allow even more of the fabled red mist to pour from his skin, forming into the shape of a dragon head. He would then take off towards his opponent with his empowered jutsu, the steam forming into a full sized eastern style dragon before he switched himself around to deliver a kick. The speed was such that the air and space around him rippled and distorted from both the speed and power of the technique. Should it collide, it would certainly do a large amount of damage. If it did hit, it would also shatter every bone in Baan's leg up to and including the pelvis. His body would then naturally exit the eighth gate, leaving his skin charred and his body subject to the whims of his opponent. However, he also hoped it would deal significant damage to his opponent. So, it would either win him this fight or lose it.

Kosuke's clones watched as the man made short work of their large lava ball before turning it against their own dome. Luckily it simply melted back into the dome. However the next thing he did definitely worried them. As he formed the seals they saw lightning thunder in the sky and they immediately set into action, unknown to them, their Sharingan gained an additional tomoe. With this advanced reaction ability, and their knowledge of lightning based techniques, the three clones did what they could to at the very least attempt to redirect it. Forming seals as soon as the clouds looked ready to burst, they released their techniques at the same time, "Wind Release: Pressure Damage!" Each clone combining their techniques to form a massive wind release tornado above their lava dome, effectively getting between it and the massive lightning beast that came down. However, their tornado even dwarfed the lightning monster in its size. The three would then immediately turn their attention on their attacker, Three more seals before "Lightning Release: Thunderbolt!" A massive combined stream of lightning came from the clones, combining with the damp ground around their target to create an extremely potent electric field, no doubt catching their attacker in its clutches.

Karasu's face remained impassive as Baan got into position to unleash Night Guy, the ultimate move resulting from the release of the Eight Gates Formation. The Uchiha let out a heavy breath, his bones groaning under the pressure from maintaining the ultimate form of Susano'o, and braced himself as the monster across from him launched into the massive kick, reality itself bending around them as a Tien Lung formed around the other man. An explosion surrounded them as the kick connected, the earth shattering beneath the combatants and crumbling the defenses surrounding the Genin team.

Too bad it wasn't enough.

As the dust settled, Karasu's figure was shown to have remained in the same position as before, the only change being an outstretched arm, his hand casually grasping Baan's ruined leg. A flick of his wrist sent the Totsuka Blade across his body faster than anyone present could see, ending the fight immediately yet aiming to keep him alive even if only temporarily. Turning around, the Uchiha Jounin would look at his students, and the results of their own battle.

Kiraa was seemingly disappointed with the clones of the younger Uchiha, as while they had managed to disrupt his Kirin Technique, his own sword had taken care of the massive bolt of lightning that the brats had sent back at him. Flush with the influx of chakra, yet aware of his current situation given his "apprentice's" current state, the Hoshigaki decided to move to negotiation to get what he wanted. "Well, that was a mess...Maybe we started off on the wrong foot, yeah? Go ahead and arrest me. I won't fight back."

Looking over to his students, Karasu would lift an eyebrow, his gravelly voice reaching them with a slight amount of amusement even as he shouldered his legendary sword. "So, what's your decision, kids?"

Kosuke was amazed as the barricade that was around him was obliterated by the force of whatever it was that happened outside. It also destroyed his clones, so he had no way of knowing exactly what it was, but the three Genin and one old man were now in defense mode, all three taking a defensive stance in front of the man. The three looked ready to attempt to flee before the blue man spoke. It appeared as though he was surrendering, because of the fact that Karasu-sensei had killed off the other man. Their sensei also said the choice was theirs, though Kosuke could see through this ploy, it was their job to kill the man as he was labelled in the bingo book as an enemy of their village, Karasu had said this earlier, so this was a sort of test. Kana volunteered herself first to tie the man up, Kosuke allowed it, but spared his sensei a single glance before nodding, moving to 'apprehend' the now tied up man. Instead, he would roundhouse kick the man in the... private area... before jamming a Kunai into his jugular. Blood sprayed out as the man looked surprised, but the life quickly drained from his eyes. Kana at first looked totally horrified before her eyes glazed over and she moved to the man, breathing in the scent of the freshly drawn blood. Kosuke, wisely, turned and headed back to where the other two were, Furin and Ryo looking away as the girl enjoyed her meal, once she finished, she would ask their sensei if she could have the other one too, she was sooooo hungry after all.

Karasu, for his part, snickered as Kosuke kicked the Hoshigaki traitor in the balls before killing him, although his smile became more gentle and understanding as Kana lost herself and ate the former ANBU, then asked if she could eat Baan, who it seemed hadn't been able to handle the Uchiha's final attack. Nodding, the team's Sensei would step aside and make sure that the girl managed to snap out of it before turning to his team and deactivating his Sage Mode and Susano'o, the chakra cloak and pressure fading from around him as he collapsed to the dirt beneath him, his muscles twitching as he chuckled. "Sorry, guys. I'm probably going to need some help back to the Village. That took a lot out of me."

As if to prove his point, Karasu's lungs decided that it was the perfect time to cough up a large amount of ash, the remnants of repairing his internal organs earlier. "...Damn, that hurts. Still, good job, all of you. I'm proud to call myself your teacher. Once we get back, let's all have a feast, my treat."

Once Kana finished, she would wipe the blood off her face before returning to her team. Kosuke and Ryo would rush to help their sensei stand with Ryo creating two clones to help carry the man back towards the village. Kosuke maintained his Dojutsu as the group would make their way back to the village to finish their mission officially. It took them several hours to make it back to the village, once they did, Furin bid them adieu and made his way to the Kage Tower to make his report. Kosuke for his part, was exhausted and asked for a raincheck on the feast, the other two Genin quickly agreeing with him. As such the three went their separate ways, with a promise to meet again soon after their short break from missions to have their feast. They hoped their sensei approved, though Ryo's clones were escorting him in the direction of the hospital, most likely against severe protests.

Giving a token protest against his being taken to the hospital, Karasu chuckled as his student's clones strong-armed him onto a gurney, completely understanding his team's rain-check. As a pair of nurses began to look him over, and diagnosed him with overexertion and muscle fatigue - both things he'd already known, he began looking around, cursing his luck.

He spent way too much time in hospitals these days.
