Roku Enzoka on Vacay In Tsukigakure

Why are you in this godforsaken place..? Said the whispering serpentine voice in Roku's head that he had dubbed God so many decades ago. Roku didn't answer, for it would look quite odd in front of the gate guard he was introducing himself to. "I am Roku Enzoka, long-standing rogue ninja from the now-destroyed village, Kumogakure. I seek entry to your village." Of course, the gate guard sputtered a mixture of sounds that resembled the word 'no,' but that didn't stop Roku from walking forward anyway before an alarm sounded within the village and would surely send every active ninja sprinting in his direction. He'd simply stand, smiling, inside the village gates, awaiting the warm welcome he'd receive.

The first thing to hear would be the sound of high heels, clicking against the floor as Fauna approached him, still as she appeared during the eight tails attack and not really that happy to see Roku again. Wearing her red dress with its matching obi, hung from it was her hidden moon headband and long black hair, red eyes and horned pigtails was more towards her normal look she had most days.

"So, the so-called "savior of the hidden moon" returns to the scene of the crime. What are you doing here? since last time I checked, missing ninja weren't allowed to enter a village's boarders, regardless of what you've done here, doesn't give you the right to just waltz on here like you own the place" Fauna said, stepping up to him to block his way; she sure as hell didn't trust this guy since ever since he "saved the village", she found his sudden appearance and disappearance suspicious on a whole number of levels, especially since the time after the eight tails disappeared, no one has seen any sign of it, so whatever he was here for, it wasn't a good thing.

"Oh, relax miss gung-ho, walking into your village is the first illegal thing I've done in like, half a century." This playful attitude wasn't characteristic of Roku by any means, but he figured with his failed social attempts previously, mimicking the attitude held by some of the people he had interacted with previously may be a good place to start in determining what worked as far as making friends and all that other... jazz that he'd lost touch with after being locked up for forty years. You know, if you killed her, she wouldn't be such an inconvenience to you... said God, in a tone that never failed to cause Roku to visibly shudder.

He didn't respond, but if he had, he would have said something along the lines of "Death isn't a lucrative business venture," but instead, he simply remained quiet, as he was sure that talking to himself would strike Fauna - though he did not know that was her name - as rather odd. "Besides, where's your boss? My business isn't with you so... shoo." This, to people that knew the modern Roku, sounded more in line with the man's character. He simply had not the patience for people any more, not because he was inherently better than them, he'd just tired of all the formalities and pleasantries associated with being part of a society. Being alone with God for 40 years taught him a thing or two about getting to the point, and honesty.

Jiren received the alarm moments after the man had entered the villages perimeter. His ANBU on patrol had sent in a report to him post haste using the special ANBU seal. He immediately stood from his desk and made his way down to the village gate, it would seem that one of his shinobi had beaten him to the punch, though it was his responsibility to take care of this situation personally. Approaching the man he would watch him closely with his Sharingan activated in its base form, watching for any peculiar movements. "Roku Enzoka, X-rated missing ninja with a twenty million ryo bounty on his head. It is not wise to enter a village uninvited. Though I will extend gratitude to you for taking care of the eight tails for us, you are still a wanted man. What is your business in the village?" Jiren would fix the man with a solid, stern look.

Roku

"Wisdom isn't my specialty anyway." Said Roku, his eyes having clamped shut the moment he felt the Ootsutsuki's presence.  He palmed Fauna's face out of his way, in sort of the same manner that a person would hold a smaller sibling at bay.  This was exceptionally comical, for Fauna was actually taller than Roku.  "And besides that, I'm like, close to 90% certain that I haven't actually committed a crime in over 40 years.  The villages that hated me before don't even seem to exist anymore sooooo... what's the statute of limitations on this stuff anyway?  Or well... I guess there isn't one for terrorism..."  Roku would trail off, having realized he'd gotten off-track.  "Anyway, I'd like a business meeting with you.  It doesn't have to be private or anything, you can have guards present.  I'd suggest just choosing your most trusted though."  

The man was becoming more and more aware that he was absolutely batshit crazy and wondered how much others picked up on this, if he chose to ignore God's incessant screaming at him.

Fukou

Fufu arrived on scene with a slight pant.  She was later than some, it seemed, but she was also quite far away.  Not even in the village, in fact, because she technically wasn't on-duty and had been spending the day training.  It was pretty much all she did anymore.  She had begun to take things more seriously after the Hachibi attack and the awakening of her Sharingan, but that was nothing compared to the state of mind she'd entered after Sera got kidnapped by her rather insane brother.

It took her a moment to fully scope the area out, but she arrived to see Fauna-Sensei getting absolutely manhandled by none other than Roku Enzoka himself.  She was supposed to run on sight when she saw him, but... well, it seemed to be an exception when he stood in her village.  Instead, she spoke to Lord Jiren.  "Tsukikage-Sama, it's Fox.  Orders?"  She took a note of the man's Senjutsu chakra constitution, without showing any signs of being in Sage Mode.  Is he... like me...?

Jiren noted that the man had a strong presence, no surprise there as he had single handedly taken down the Eight-tails after all. He was about to speak to the man in response to his request for a meeting when Fox arrived asking for orders. He had given her some much deserved time off after that mission, but it would seem he would need her earlier than expected. "Fox, Escort Enzoka-san to my office. I will need to make a stop before heading there myself to take the village off high alert." With that, a black portal would open up behind him, slip forwards, pulling the man into itself and then would implode leaving no trace of the man. He was across the village directing the other ANBU to disengage the High Alert, but maintain vigilance and watch the man should he try anything against Fox. Fox was among the top five ANBU in the village, the other was currently off on a mission, so the next three were posted on guard duty watching Roku from a distance, Bear, Hawk and Weasel. They would be able to at least observe and defend Fox should the situation go south. Jiren would then teleport to his office in the same manner, no doubt arriving just after Fox and Roku, simply walking over and sitting down, he would motion for Roku to do the same while Fox would no doubt follow protocol and 'vanish' into the darkened corners of the room. "Now, what is your purpose for this meeting?"

Roku

If you killed him, you could take over this village completely... easily, by yourself. Roku ignored the incessant babbling. At one time, he held feelings of gratitude toward the ethereal presence in his mind. Now, however, he simply had these feelings of pent-up resentment that never seemed to abate. There were times God even helped him... warning him of incoming attacks, or breaking down abilities that Roku wasn't quite able to. When Fox led him away, Roku would follow, making conversation with her. "Are you a True Sage too...? Interesting... I've never met one other than me... still, you're not quite at my level yet." Her silence would irritate him slightly. The irritating well-trained ANBU that she was.

When he arrived in the office, he'd await Jiren's arrival, and sit down as requested. His eyes were still closed. "Jiren Ootsutsuki... truthfully, what I want is rather simple, but probably not easy for you to give. You see, I caught a glimpse of your military might when I was here before, and it would appear that you are, unfortunately, lacking. This is a confusing time... legends are reawakening all across the globe, and Tailed Beasts are running wild. I have a two-pronged agreement to present."

Roku would pause a moment to judge Jiren's reaction before continuing. "The first is a simple mutual agreement to share any and all information regarding these events - for I believe they are not only connected, but perhaps more complicated than we know - that we obtain with one another. The second is the one you may struggle to deliver on... I want full access to the infrastructure of your village. Outposts, supplies, and the like. Prisons, even. In return, I can promise to protect this village from any threats that may be present."




Fukou

Fox would turn and lead Roku away from the spectacle he had begun to create. "This way." He spoke to her but she wouldn't respond... as hot-headed as she was, that wasn't because she was so disciplined, but rather because she understood so little about what had happened to her on the Turtle Island. Luna didn't even seem to get it, and it was her idea to train there because of the spirituality of the place. Fox would simply lead Roku to the office of Lord Jiren and disappear into the shadows.

Jiren would fold his hands together and place them in front of his mouth as he would rest his elbows on his table. Taking on the stereotypical contemplative stance as he mulled over what the man had offered. On one hand, having such a powerful person on their side was a good thing, but on the other he was aware that a large portion of both the shinobi and civilian populace was distrustful of the man as many had read up on him after he had randomly arrived and basically stolen the Eight-Tails right from within the grasps of their sealing master. He knew that Hoshigakure had two tailed beasts and it was rumored that Otogakure had one as well. "As a leader, I must do what I feel is best for my people. I will offer you any intelligence we gather regarding the Tailed Beasts, though I cannot allow unrestricted access to our village infrastructure nor will I allow you free reign within my village. I will offer you exoneration from your past crimes, but I will not grant you citizenship nor a pass into the village as it would cause too much trouble with my populace. I will not have you hunted nor will you be considered a criminal in the Land of Valleys." It was the best he could offer.

Roku

Roku would lean back in his seat, and if his eyes weren't closed, he'd be eyeing the Tsukikage suspiciously. It was a vibe that could be caught even with his eyes closed, to be truthful. He thought about the man's response, and when he spoke, his tone was cool and even. "I regret to inform you that no human or otherwise has the power to keep me in or out of any location." His tone had the unique ability to portray that he was simply stating facts, not making a threat or even trying to undermine the man, but still communicate that Roku had the power in this situation. "I implore you to reconsider. I do not ask for citizenship, nor even permission to be inside your village. The hospitality of your citizens seems somewhat underwhelming anyway... Supplies can work in deliveries from only ANBU Black Ops agents." He'd cock his head toward where Fox had disappeared to. "And access to outposts would only be necessary to my agents, not myself. So far as prison access... I'd assume your prisons would treat the people I collect with information or involvement in these phenomena far better than I or my followers. I am trying to create a partnership between unlikely allies to combat what may be an even larger threat than either of us individually. Besides... I've never done anything against your village, nor any of the individual citizens of your village."



Fukou

Fufu would shudder at the man's words... they were somehow both threatening and not so at the same time. She didn't know how she'd want Lord Tsukikage to answer, but she knew that she'd support his decision no matter what he decided. She knew that they couldn't possibly attempt to arrest the guy... he had the ability to simply appear and disappear from seemingly any location. In fact, who they were talking to now could even be some form of projection... She feared being the position she was, but would not allow that to come between her and her duties. Still... Lord Jiren was infinitely more powerful than she, and it seemed Roku was more powerful still. Would she even be useful if a fight were to somehow break out?
